Title: Nanomaterials and their role in agricultural development
Biography:
I hold a PhD in Bacteriology from Mansoura University, Mansoura, Egypt. Currently, I am a professor of molecular biology at the Department of Plant Protection and Biomolecular Diagnosis, City of Scientific Research and Technology Applications, Alexandria, Egypt.
My qualifications, detailed on enclosed curriculum vitae, include a strong education background, active research as well as successful teaching experience in university level. The extensive background in biology and molecular biology has equipped me a wide range of undergraduate and graduate level courses and to a wide cohort of students.
My current research agenda encompasses plant molecular pathology which I interested to study the plant microbe interaction and how the plant defense system could be used for developing a new hybrid are diseases resistant. Also, I am interested in biodiversity and the so i and plant health and how both affect the plant production. This taught me to study some plant genes and studied their on the molecular levels including the structure and function. Plant disease learned me how could microbes-microbe reaction and how could me use this phenomena to discover a biocontrol agents to overcome a wide range of economic plant pathogens.  I used the bioagents and also the plant extracts (medicine plants) to biosynthesied nanoparticles which could be used either microbes control or cancer treatment. That is guiding me to search about active ingredient in many different medicinal wild plants to discover and isolate new ingredients which could be in cancer prevention or cancer treatment. Moreover, the effects of such materials were studied on cell lines and on experimental animals as well. The mode of action also was studied based on the molecular physiology.
