Title: Generalized Access to Mesoporous Inorganic Particles with Various Shapes from Multicomponent Polymer Blends
Abstract:
Mesoporous inorganic particles with various shapes attracted much attention for a broad range of applications, but synthesis approaches are typically material specific, complex or lack control over desired structures. In this talk, it will be discussed how we combined mesoscale block copolymer (BCP) directed inorganic material self-assembly and macrophase spinodal decomposition to synthesize mesoporous inorganic particles with various shapes. The resulting mesoporous particles have been employed as electrode materials for rechargeable batteries and exhibits superior performances compared with commercial materials and conventional mesoporous materials.
