Title:  Teachers ‘training in Italy: innovation and tradition to promote the school for the next future
Abstract:
In the age of digital and Artificial Intelligence, the work at school is becoming increasingly complex. The teacher needs to train properly to meet the needs of students who need to train and at the same time prepare for the work and need an adequate and forward-looking set of skills.

The long tradition of teacher training in Italy explains to us a lot relative to the didactics needed to support students in the teaching and learning process. In the meantime, increasingly, active teaching strategies and innovative and inclusive didactics are needed to work in the school of all, no one excluded. Digital innovations, and artificial intelligence today are a real challenge for teachers that must be welcomed and positively exploited for students’ benefit. Aware of opportunities and risks, too. The research conducted on groups of teachers in training (1000 teachers), allows us to extrapolate good practices and strategies to train the teacher using tradition and innovation at the same time. Well-trained, enthusiastic, and motivated teachers will be better able to train students and accompany them in their growth and life process.
