Abstract:
Geospatial Information System offer great potential in tackling global and real-life challenges. Its potential is endless, from healthcare facilities to the public transport system to monitoring climate change and more. Combining this with other technologies such as drones, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and cloud computing, geospatial technology can be further enhanced in its effectiveness. Recent mobile technology and communications advances have moved automated mapping and geospatial technology closer to society. Particularly, this paper also shared the updated knowledge about how geospatial Information System providing a platform for the recent advancement in research, projects and technology development as its great impacts on sustainability.

Biography:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. ABDUL MANAF BOHARI is a Senior Lecturer of Information System Management of College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He received a BSc Soc from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur; Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Faculty of Business Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Selangor; and PhD in Geographical Information Systems at University Science Malaysia, Penang. He is noted as a resilient and innovative researcher, a prolific writer and an experienced educator with passion for sports, traveling and voluntary social work. |
