Title: Instructional Design of Virtual Simulation Experiment
Abstract: 
The practical necessity of virtual simulation experiment at the level of training program is analyzed in this report. Combined with a large number of virtual simulation experiment Instructional design practices, it is explained that the design essentials of the virtual simulation experiment such as the name of the experiment, the purpose of the experiment, the training level, the principle of the experiment, the experiment object, the experiment parameter, the duration of a course, the teaching method, the assessment and the design considerations. 

Part I: The Practical necessity of Virtual Simulation Experiment at The Level of Training Program
   The principles that should be followed in the construction of virtual simulation experiment teaching projects have been put forward. It also proposed situations where virtual simulation experiments are recommended, such as high risk, high consumption, invisible, irreversible, unreachable, and situations where virtual simulation experiments are not recommended.

Part II:  The Main Design of Virtual Simulation Experiment
The main design of the virtual simulation experiment includes the specification of the experiment name, experiment purpose, experiment time, experiment content, high-level experimental system model, virtual experiment object analysis, virtual experiment parameters, and how to use the Immersion, Interaction and Imagination of virtual simulation technology.

Part III:Instructional Design of Virtual Simulation Experiment
   The virtual simulation experiment instructional design includes various experimental teaching methods, experimental schemes and experimental procedures, the form of experimental results and conclusions, experimental evaluation requirements and assessment.

Part IV:Other Considerations for Virtual Simulation Experiments
Other Considerations mainly include the necessary knowledge and skills for students before the experiment, the application and sharing of the experimental system, the integration of the virtual simulation experimental system with the learning environment, and the impact of virtual simulation experiments on future education.
Biography: 
Fuan Wen is a professor of computer application technology in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications(BUPT). He is the director of Network Teaching System Research Center in Beijing Key Laboratory of Network System and Network Culture and the deputy director of National Electronic Information Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center. 
Since 2002, he has led several major research projects funded by Chinese government. From 2003 to 2005, he had been appointed to be one of the key experts for "Narrowing Digital-divide—West Action Program” and the senior expert for “Network Education” project by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He was elected to be the special education supervisor by Beijing city government in 2004. 
Professor Wen has long been devoted to the networking and intelligence of education and teaching. He was awarded the Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence in 2018. He has been actively publishing more than sixty papers in the high quality international journals and conferences. And as the first drafter, he formulated the national standard Information Technology Learning, Education and Training Virtual Experiment Teaching Guidance Interface Specification in 2019.
