Title: The flipped and sustainable mathematics learning/teaching in higher education institutions (HEIs)
Abstract:
The sustainable mathematics education has been considered as an essential foundation while its idea is related to the typical issue of ecology and economy in higher education institutions (HEIs). Thus, in learning/teaching mathematics, information and communication technologies (ICTs) are altering pedagogy. Here, the flipped and sustainable instruction methodology is a learning/teaching method in which the traditional classroom setting is flipped and sustainable. With this methodology proposed, lectures normally in the classroom are provided outside of the classroom. The in-class time, therefore, are used to complete students-centered learning activities related with sustainable topics such as solving problems/case studies, discussions and collaborative activities. So, flipping and sustaining the classes supports a more effectual learning/teaching since it manages to involve students more effectively in the learning/teaching process in outcomes and performances. Also, it can achieve better their cognitive and affective dimension. Hence, the flipped and sustaining instruction model can show a favorable predisposition in mathematics education in HEIs. Particularly, it can increase students’ positive outcomes, performances cognitive and affective dimension. It could finally be employed to validate the most important flipped and sustainable mathematics education corresponding to education contexts in more long-term learning.
