Taxi fee
The price starts for taxies in Xiamen is 8 yuan(USD1.17). It takes about 20yuan to the airport and ferry terminal from the hotel, and 35yuan from Nan Pu Tuo Temple.

Currency/Banking information
Cash plays a very important role in traveling. Hotel’s reception desk offer currency changing service, or you can change money in the banks. Please take your passport with you in case unexpected situation. The operation time of the local banks is 9:00—17:00 on Monday to Friday, and 9:00—12:00 on Saturday. There are also ATM machines around the hotel.

Clothing
A business suite would be proper for business traveling, in other situations, casual clothing would be fine. Summer in Xiamen is hot and humid, which requires cooler dressing while winter here is cold and windy, which requires warming clothes.

Visa
Before you plan visiting China, you have to apply for a visa from the local Chinese Embassy or make a consulting for your trip. The valid period for a traveling visa is 90 days, with an extension by 30 days. If you would like an extension for business visa, you have to go to the Aliens Office in PSB for help, making sure the passport, the hotel registration proof and your business invitation with you.
